Despite Tanner Gray leading 75 laps and appearing in control, Mosack ran down the dominant JGR driver late and made the winning pass with 13 laps remaining to claim his second consecutive Kansas victory. It continued a recent trend of the family-run Pinnacle Racing Group team denying JGR wins with late-race charges, following similar scenarios last year at Nashville, Iowa and Dover. While Gray missed out on becoming the sixth set of ARCA winning brothers, Mosack backed up his consistent 2023 season with PRG by adding Kansas to his previous win there last fall with JGR.
