The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series fires back up on Saturday night after a two-week break, with the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway (8 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). All eyes will be on the current championship leader as the trucks return to competition.

Christian Eckes has emerged as the driver to beat in 2024, sitting atop the standings with a pair of victories already. Eckes has been particularly stout at the 1.5-mile Kansas oval, claiming a playoff win there last September. In eight career starts at the track, Eckes boasts four top-five and six top-10 efforts.

No driver has more laps turned at Kansas than veteran Matt Crafton, who will make his 28th Craftsman Truck start there this weekend. The three-time series champion has enjoyed tremendous success, winning three times to tie Kyle Busch for the most victories at the track. However, Crafton is mired in an 88-race winless drought dating back to his 2020 Kansas triumph.

Grant Enfinger returns as the defending race winner, while Australian Cam Waters makes just his second career truck start after an inauspicious debut at Martinsville last month.

With Eckes showing excellent form on intermediates and wily veterans like Crafton and Enfinger always tough, fans should be treated to a scintillating show under the Kansas lights on Saturday night.

My Pick: Christian Eckes
