Tide to Sponsor ARCA Menards Series Race at Kansas Speedway

Tide, America’s #1 trusted laundry detergent brand, is bringing its iconic colors and branding to the racetrack by sponsoring the ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, May 4th. The Tide 150 will kick off an action-packed day/night racing doubleheader, with the green flag waving at 1 pm CT followed by the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at 7 pm CT.

This marks Tide’s first time serving as an entitlement sponsor for an ARCA Menards Series event, but the brand is no stranger to motorsports. Tide famously sponsored three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Darrell Waltrip’s No. 17 “Tide Ride” from 1987 to 1990. The bright orange, yellow, blue and white scheme has also adorned cars piloted by racing greats like Ricky Rudd, Scott Pruett, Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick and Erik Jones over the years.

“Tide is proud to continue its legacy of supporting the sport of racing,” said Alex Perez, Senior Director of NA Laundry at P&G. “In a world where performance matters on the racetrack, Tide has you covered off the track. Tide is designed to deliver superior cleaning performance you can trust – making it the perfect partner for a winning experience.”

The Tide 150 will mark the 28th ARCA Menards Series race at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway since the track opened in 2001. Past winners at the venue include current and former NASCAR stars like Alex Bowman, Chase Briscoe, Ty Dillon, Parker Kligerman and Scott Speed.

The most prolific winner is Frank Kimmel, who claimed his 80th and final ARCA career victory at Kansas in 2013 to become the all-time wins leader in the series, surpassing Iggy Katona’s previous record.

With its long legacy in motorsports marketing, Tide’s sponsorship of the ARCA Kansas race continues to leverage the brand’s connection to high-performance racing. As cars take to the track looking for that winning performance, Tide promises to deliver a champion’s clean off the track as well.
