Verstappen Triumphs in Spanish Grand Prix, Extending Championship Lead

Max Verstappen proved his championship mettle once again at the Spanish Grand Prix, securing his seventh win of the season despite a challenging start. After briefly losing the lead to a fast-starting George Russell, Verstappen quickly regained control, overtaking both Russell and pole-sitter Lando Norris by lap 3.
Norris, hampered by being stuck behind Russell in the early stages, finished second, unable to challenge Verstappen’s dominance. Lewis Hamilton rounded out the podium, claiming his first top-three finish of the season after an exciting battle with Carlos Sainz.
The race, which saw all 20 cars finish without incident, further solidified Verstappen’s position at the top of the championship standings. For Norris, it was a case of what might have been, as he later admitted to “messing up” his start from pole position.
