McLaughlin Dominates for Second Straight Barber IndyCar Win
Scott McLaughlin dominated the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park, leading 58 of 90 laps to win for the second straight year at the 2.3-mile road course. The 29-year-old New Zealander executed a three-stop pit strategy to perfection in his No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet to claim his first victory of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series season. After a challenging week that saw him controversially disqualified from the opener, McLaughlin bounced back by outpacing teammate Will Power, who finished second. Rookie Linus Lundqvist earned an impressive third-place finish for Chip Ganassi Racing. With the win, Colton Herta takes over the championship lead as the series now heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the month of May.
