Team Preview: RFK Racing Ready to Return to Victory Lane in 2026

RFK Racing heads into the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season with one clear objective: win again. After a winless 2025, the organization believes it is closer than the results suggest. None of its drivers reached the playoffs, but steady improvement late in the year showed that RFK is trending in the right direction. With added stability on the pit boxes and growing chemistry across all three teams, RFK is aiming to turn strong runs into trophies.

Brad Keselowski remains the centerpiece of the organization as both a driver and co-owner. While he did not reach Victory Lane last season, he came painfully close, finishing second three times, including in the season finale at Phoenix. Keselowski’s numbers dipped slightly in laps led and average finish, but his total of top-five and top-10 results stayed competitive. Entering 2026, he is motivated to win again, even as he begins the season recovering from an offseason injury. If healthy, Keselowski remains one of the most dangerous drivers on superspeedways, making Daytona an early opportunity for a statement win.

Chris Buescher quietly put together one of the most consistent seasons in the garage. Despite going winless for the first time in several years, he led RFK in top-10 finishes and ended the year as the highest-ranked driver who did not make the playoffs. With Scott Graves returning as his crew chief, Buescher offers stability and reliability in the No. 17 Ford. His ability to contend on all track types makes him a weekly threat, and a return to Victory Lane feels more like a matter of when, not if.

Ryan Preece took a major step forward in his first season with RFK Racing. The No. 60 team showed clear improvement, as Preece posted career-best numbers in top-five and top-10 finishes while leading laps at a variety of tracks. The chemistry between Preece and crew chief Derrick Finley grew stronger as the season went on, especially late in the year. That momentum sets the stage for even bigger expectations in 2026.

For RFK Racing, the pieces are in place. Speed is returning, consistency is improving, and confidence is building. If the team can capitalize on its late-season momentum and turn near-misses into wins, RFK could reestablish itself as a regular presence in Victory Lane and the playoffs.
