The NASCAR Xfinity Series is set for a historic return to Rockingham Speedway this Saturday for the North Carolina Education Lottery 250, marking the tenth event of the 2025 season. A full field of 40 cars appears on the preliminary entry list, with only 38 spots available for the starting grid, meaning two drivers will fail to qualify for the main event.
Fresh off a dominant performance at Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend, Kyle Larson will not return to defend his victory. The Hendrick Motorsports No. 17 entry that Larson piloted at Bristol will also be absent from the Rockingham lineup.
One of the most notable entrants for this weekend’s race is former NASCAR Cup Series star Kasey Kahne, who will make his highly anticipated return to competition after a multi-year absence. Kahne will pilot the No. 33 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing at “The Rock,” a track where he has previous racing experience.
The entry list features several drivers seeking their first career Xfinity Series victories. Modified racing champion Justin Bonsignore will drive the No. 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, while international road racing veteran Katherine Legge returns in the No. 32 Chevrolet for Jordan Anderson Racing.
Patrick Emerling brings his short track expertise to the No. 07 SS-GreenLight Racing entry, and Greg Van Alst will make a start in the No. 35 for Joey Gase Motorsports. Alpha Prime Racing will field Vicente Salas in the No. 45 Chevrolet, while Thomas Annunziata represents Cope Family Racing in the No. 70.
Other notable entries include Dawson Cram in the No. 74 for Mike Harmon Racing, Austin Green driving Jordan Anderson Racing’s No. 87, and Josh Bilicki in the No. 91 DGM Racing entry. The No. 53 Joey Gase Motorsports entry currently lists the driver as TBA, with that announcement expected later this week.
