Blaney Claims Atlanta Pole as Team Penske Dominates Qualifying

Team Penske’s strong start to 2025 continued as Ryan Blaney captured the pole position for Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Blaney’s No. 12 BodyArmor Zero Sugar Ford Mustang Dark Horse topped the charts with a lap of 179.371 mph (30.908 seconds), securing his 11th career pole and first at Atlanta.

The qualifying session showcased Team Penske’s strength, with Austin Cindric qualifying second for the second consecutive weekend. Josh Berry, driving for the Penske-affiliated Wood Brothers Racing, completed a Ford sweep of the top three positions.

Joey Logano, who set the fastest time in the opening round, will start fourth, while Todd Gilliland rounded out an all-Ford top five. The dominance of Team Penske and its technical alliance partners was evident, as they locked out the top five starting positions.

Kyle Busch was the lone Chevrolet representative in the final round, qualifying sixth. Toyota struggled notably, with Bubba Wallace’s 14th-place effort leading the manufacturer’s contingent. Joe Gibbs Racing had a particularly difficult session, with none of their drivers qualifying better than 25th.

Daytona 500 winner William Byron will start 17th for Sunday’s 400-mile event, which begins at 3:00 PM ET on FOX.
