Jesse Love Continues Hot Start, Claims Third-Straight Atlanta Pole

NASCAR Xfinity Series sensation Jesse Love continued his impressive momentum Friday, securing the pole position for the Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The qualifying triumph comes just days after Love’s victory in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The 20-year-old Richard Childress Racing driver posted a blistering lap of 174.724 mph (31.730 seconds) to claim his sixth career pole and maintain his perfect qualifying record at Atlanta, having started first in all three of his appearances at the track.

“Yeah, I drive fast race cars, and that obviously helps,” Love said after qualifying. “We have big power, and my crew chief Danny Stockman is really good at his job as well.”

Love will be joined on the front row by teammate Austin Hill, who qualified just 0.063 seconds behind. Hill, a Georgia native, swept both Atlanta races last season and owns four career Xfinity wins at the track.

Josh Williams provided the day’s feel-good story, qualifying third in his Kaulig Racing entry – his best starting position in 221 career starts. The result marks a remarkable turnaround at the same track where he faced a one-race suspension last year after a controversial protest.

The 250-mile race is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 PM ET on The CW, with Love looking to avenge last year’s heartbreak when he led 157 laps before running out of fuel late in the race.
