McAnally-Hilgemann Racing continued its qualifying dominance at Atlanta Motor Speedway, securing the pole position for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fr8 Racing 208 for the second consecutive year. Connor Mosack, in his rookie full-time season, captured his first NASCAR National Series pole position with a blistering lap of 173.418 mph (31.969 seconds) in the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST.
The achievement marks McAnally-Hilgemann Racing’s 12th pole in 250 Truck Series starts, with crew chief Blake Bainbridge repeating his success from last year when he guided Daniel Dye to the top qualifying spot at the same track.
The team’s impressive showing extended beyond just the pole position, with teammate Daniel Hemric qualifying third and fellow McAnally-Hilgemann drivers Rajah Caruth and Jack Wood rounding out the top five. Grant Enfinger, whose CR7 Motorsports team maintains a technical alliance with McAnally-Hilgemann, qualified second to complete the front row.
“We still have work to do tomorrow but feel really good about the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado that we brought,” said Mosack, crediting the team’s collaborative culture for their success. “MHR brought four really fast trucks, so I feel like we have a really solid team behind us.”
Jake Garcia qualified sixth in the highest-starting Ford, while two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will start ninth in his first of five planned starts this season. Ben Rhodes, last week’s Daytona polesitter, completed the top 10.
The Fr8 Racing 208 is set for Saturday, February 22, at 1:30 PM ET, with coverage available on FS1, The NASCAR Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
