Kyle Busch Returns to Spire Motorsports for Five-Race Truck Series Schedule

Two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch is set to defend his FR8 208 victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, kicking off a five-race NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series schedule with Spire Motorsports in 2025.

Busch, 39, found success with Spire in 2024, securing victories at both Atlanta and Texas Motor Speedway. The winningest driver in Truck Series history will split his time between the team’s No. 7 and No. 07 Chevrolet Silverados, working with crew chiefs Brian Pattie and Allen Hart respectively.

“It’s cool to be able to hop back in their Chevy Silverados five times and work towards filling those trophy cases,” said Busch, who will compete at Atlanta, Charlotte, North Wilkesboro, Nashville, and Watkins Glen. The latter two tracks represent new opportunities for Busch to add to his impressive Truck Series win total of 66.

At Atlanta, where this weekend’s race will be held, Busch has demonstrated remarkable success across all three NASCAR national series, including seven Truck Series wins in 14 starts. His role extends beyond driving, as he continues to mentor Spire’s young drivers and evaluate equipment.

Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson emphasized the value of having Busch on board: “Having one of the best drivers in NASCAR history in our equipment and in our shop makes everyone better. The standard he sets is one that both Rajah (Caruth) and Andres (Perez de Lara) can benefit from.”
