Qualifying Results: 2025 Daytona 500 Pole Qualifying

In a historic qualifying session at Daytona International Speedway, Chase Briscoe delivered Toyota its first-ever Daytona 500 pole position, piloting his No. 19 Bass Pro Shops Camry XSE to a blazing lap of 182.745 mph. The achievement marks both a milestone for Toyota GAZOO Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing’s first Daytona 500 pole in 27 years.

The Mitchell, Indiana native’s perfect execution resulted in his third career NASCAR Cup Series pole, edging out 2022 Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric, who secured the outside front row position with a speed of 182.463 mph. The result continues Cindric’s impressive qualifying record at the Great American Race, having now qualified in the top six in four of his five attempts.

“To be able to be the guy to deliver them their first anything when they’ve already accomplished so much is pretty good,” said Briscoe. “To think I’m going to start on the pole of ‘The Great American Race’ with ultimately the great American brand of Bass Pro Shops is unbelievable.”

RFK Racing’s Ryan Preece qualified third, followed by Joey Logano and rookie Josh Berry completing the top five. Former champions Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson successfully locked themselves into the race, while seven open entries, including Helio Castroneves and Chandler Smith, will battle for the remaining spots in Thursday night’s Duel races.

The qualifying session also brought good news for several teams, as both Truex Jr. and Johnson secured spots in Sunday’s race based on their qualifying speeds, placing 22nd and 29th respectively. The remaining open entries will compete for their chance to make the field in Thursday’s Duel races.
