Jett Lawrence Triumphs in Wet Conditions at Anaheim 2 Supercross

Team Honda HRC Progressive’s Jett Lawrence claimed a thrilling victory at the Anaheim 2 Supercross, demonstrating exceptional skill in challenging wet track conditions. The event, Round 3 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, provided fans with an exciting display of racing prowess.

450SX Class Highlights

Lawrence’s win came after an intense battle that saw multiple racers competing for the lead. Ken Roczen of Progressive Insurance ECSTAR Suzuki secured second place, moving into the points lead, while Jason Anderson of Monster Energy Kawasaki rounded out the podium in third.

The race was particularly notable for its difficult conditions, with heavy rain adding complexity to the competition. Lawrence remained patient and strategic, ultimately outmaneuvering his competitors. “You have to be very patient [racing in those conditions],” Lawrence commented.

Eli Tomac, the previous points leader, faced challenges after a near-last start but managed to recover to a seventh-place finish.

250SX Class Excitement

In the Western Regional 250SX Class, Haiden Deegan of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing dominated the race. After grabbing the holeshot and fending off an early challenge from Julien Beaumer of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Deegan pulled ahead and maintained an unchallenged lead.

The 250SX podium made history as the first all-teen podium since 2011, with Cole Davies earning his first professional podium in just his third Supercross race. Jo Shimoda, despite racing with two broken fingers, demonstrated remarkable resilience by moving from 10th to 6th place.

Looking Ahead
