Supercross: 17 Rounds of Excitement
The 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship schedule is packed with action, covering 16 cities in 13 states. Kicking off on January 11 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the sport’s historic season opener will return to the West Coast for its 34th time in Anaheim. Another significant stop includes a new venue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at Acrisure Stadium. It marks the return of Supercross to the city for the first time since 1983, making it one of the most anticipated events of the season.
Other notable cities on the Supercross schedule include Glendale, Arizona; Tampa, Florida; Detroit, Michigan; and Daytona Beach, Florida, where the iconic 55th Daytona Supercross will take place on March 1 at Daytona International Speedway. The season concludes at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City on May 10, where the Supercross champions will be crowned.
Pro Motocross: 11 Outdoor Nationals
Following the completion of the Supercross season, attention turns to the summer’s Pro Motocross Championship with its 11-round campaign kicking off on May 24 at Fox Raceway in Pala, California. The Pro Motocross Championship includes races in some of the sport’s most iconic locations, including the famed RedBud National in Michigan on July 5, and the Unadilla National in New York on August 16.
The 2025 season brings a slight shakeup with the Ironman National in Indiana moving up in the schedule to start the final championship stretch on August 9. The season wraps up at the Budds Creek National on August 23 in Southern Maryland, where the sport’s best will face off one last time before heading into the postseason.
SuperMotocross World Championship Finals
The SuperMotocross World Championship, introduced in 2023, returns for its third year in 2025, delivering three postseason races to determine the ultimate champions. Though the dates and venues for the Finals are yet to be confirmed, these events promise to build upon the success of the past two seasons, where stars like Jett Lawrence and Haiden Deegan claimed back-to-back SMX World titles.
This exciting blend of Supercross and Motocross not only crowns champions in both disciplines but brings a new layer of competition and intrigue to the sport. The postseason format gives riders an additional shot at earning a place in motorsports history, making each of the 31 rounds leading up to the Finals crucial.
