Joey Logano to Drive for AM Racing in NASCAR Xfinity Series Chicago Street Race

AM Racing has announced that Joey Logano, the recent winner of the NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, will drive the No. 15 AM Racing Ford Mustang in the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Chicago Street Race on July 6. Logano will replace Hailie Deegan, who has driven the team’s car in the first 17 Xfinity races this season.

The team hopes to leverage Logano’s experience as a two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion to improve their performance in the second half of the season. AM Racing team president Wade Moore cited the high level of competition in the Xfinity Series as a reason for bringing in Logano, stating, “We haven’t had the success on track that we were hoping for in the first half of the season.”

Klutch Vodka will sponsor Logano’s return to Xfinity Series competition. The company’s CEO, Anthony S. Quattrochi, expressed support for the decision, noting that Logano’s talent will benefit the team and help introduce the Klutch Vodka brand to new fans.

Logano, who has an impressive Xfinity Series record with 30 wins and 95 top-five finishes, is looking forward to the opportunity. He stated, “Any extra seat time is always a positive for unique tracks such as this one. I’m looking forward to climbing behind the wheel of the No. 15 AM Racing Ford Mustang, with high hopes to wheel it to the front.”

The Loop 110 at the Chicago Street Race is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC.
