The ARCA Menards Series is set to tackle its first road course of the 2024 season with the Zinsser SmartCoat 150 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday, June 21. This 2.258-mile track in Morrow County, Ohio, will test drivers’ skills as they navigate both left and right turns in a 42-lap battle for supremacy.

Fresh off a recent repave at the end of 2023, the Mid-Ohio circuit promises to be faster and more challenging than ever before. This year’s event marks only the fourth time the ARCA Menards Series has visited the historic venue, which has been hosting world-class motorsports events since 1962.

The field for Friday’s race is stacked with talent, including several drivers with extensive road course experience. William Sawalich, the only returning top-five finisher from last year’s race, enters as a favorite. The defending East Series champion has already claimed three victories across the ARCA Menards Series platform this season.

Connor Mosack, fresh off a victory at Kansas Speedway, will be piloting the No. 28 for Pinnacle Racing Group. His recent success and road course background make him a strong contender for the win.

Other notable entries include Brent Crews, the 2023 Trans Am TA2 champion, and Kris Wright, who brings a wealth of road racing experience to the event. The diverse field also features names like Marco Andretti, Tyler Reif, and Brad Perez, adding further intrigue to the competition.

The Zinsser SmartCoat 150 will feature a unique format, with practice and qualifying combined into a single session. The field will be divided into two groups, each given a 20-minute session to set their fastest times. The starting lineup will be determined by the overall combined session results.

With only 26 starting positions available plus provisionals, the competition to make the field will be fierce. The race will include a mandatory break near lap 21, adding an element of strategy to the already challenging road course event.

Fans can catch all the action live on FS2 or FloRacing, with the green flag scheduled to drop at 6 p.m. ET. As the ARCA Menards Series takes on its first road course challenge of the season, the Zinsser SmartCoat 150 at Mid-Ohio promises to be a thrilling showcase of skill, strategy, and speed.
