After a dramatic weekend at its home track in Charlotte, the NASCAR national touring series hit the road again with races in St. Louis and Portland on tap.

The Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series will both visit World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. Meanwhile, the Xfinity Series makes its annual visit to Portland International Raceway in Oregon.

Toyota 200 (Truck Series)
When: Saturday, June 1, 1:30 PM ET (FOX, MRN, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio)
Where: World Wide Technology Raceway, Madison, IL
Last Year’s Winner: Grant Enfinger

Fresh off his Charlotte victory, Nick Sanchez hopes to keep rolling as the Trucks take on the 1.25-mile oval in Illinois. Sanchez expertly held off Corey Heim last weekend for his second win of 2024.

Two drivers making their Truck Series debuts will be ones to watch – Andres Perez De Lara, the current ARCA Menards points leader driving for Spire Motorsports, and Luke Fenhaus, a three-time ARCA winner getting his shot with ThorSport Racing.

This is the second race of the Triple Truck Challenge, so whoever wins this weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway will bank an additional $50,000, Unless your name is Nick Sanchez, who won last weekend’s race at Charlotte taking home the first $50,000 bonus, and if he were to win again this weekend the bonus jumps $150,000.
My Pick: Corey Heim

Pacific Office Automation 147 (Xfinity Series)
When: Saturday, June 1, 4:30 PM ET (FS1, MRN, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio)
Where: Portland International Raceway, Portland, OR Last
Year’s Winner: Cole Custer

The Xfinity Series returns to the Pacific Northwest road course where Cole Custer won last season en route to his first series championship. Chase Elliott captured his first Xfinity win since 2016 last weekend in Charlotte.

All eyes will be on Josh Bilicki, getting a rare national series opportunity with Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 19 car. The road course ringer hopes to make the most of his big break. Another driver to watch is Indy 500 star Sage Karam, who nearly pulled off an upset win at Road America last year.

Former ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ TV star, Frankie Muniz, will be making his third NASCAR Xfinity Series start of the season this weekend at Portland International Raceway piloting the no. 35 machine.
My Pick: A.J. Allmendinger

Enjoy Illinois 300 (Cup Series)
When: Sunday, June 2, 3 PM ET (FS1, MRN, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio)
Where: World Wide Technology Raceway, Madison, IL
Last Year’s Winner: Kyle Busch

The Cup Series caps the St. Louis tripleheader in what has already been a tumultuous week for the sport’s top division. With Stewart-Haas Racing’s looming closure and Kyle Larson playoff waiver grabbing headlines, the on-track action provides a welcome distraction.

Kyle Busch has simply dominated at WWTR the last two seasons, winning in 2023 after a runner-up in 2022. Busch and RCR are seeking a momentum-building victory.

Joey Logano has also exhibited strong raceway makeup, winning the inaugural 2022 event before a third-place run last year. He’ll be a driver to watch along with Ryan Blaney, who seems due for a win.
My Pick: Kyle Busch

Three entertaining races are on tap as NASCAR’s traveling circus heads to the Gateway City and the Pacific Northwest this weekend.
