NASCAR today revealed the inductees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2025 as well as this year’s recipient of the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.
The three new Hall of Fame inductees are:
Ricky Rudd, the “Ironman” of NASCAR who holds the record for most consecutive starts (788) and ranks second all-time with 906 career Cup Series starts across his 32-year career. He earned 23 wins, including the 1997 Brickyard 400 with his own Rudd Performance Motorsports team.
Carl Edwards, who scored 72 wins across NASCAR’s three national series, including 28 Cup Series victories highlighted by the 2015 Coca-Cola 600 and Southern 500. The substitute teacher-turned-superstar finished as the runner-up in the Cup Series standings twice, including the iconic 2011 “tie-breaker” finale.
Ralph Moody, the 1950s driver who partnered with John Holman to form the powerhouse Holman-Moody Racing team that won back-to-back championships in 1968-69 with David Pearson and the 1967 Daytona 500 with Mario Andretti among 96 total victories.
In addition, Dr. Dean Sicking was honored with the Landmark Award for his pioneering work in developing the SAFER (Steel and Foam Energy Reduction) barrier that has significantly improved safety at racetracks over the past two decades since Dale Earnhardt’s tragic death in 2001.
The Class of 2025 Induction Ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2025 in Charlotte, with tickets going on sale in June 2024. The new inductees were selected by a voting panel of NASCAR representatives, team owners, media members, and past champions and fans.
