NASCAR Race Hub to End After 14 Years

After over a decade of providing daily NASCAR news and analysis, the NASCAR Race Hub program on Fox Sports 1 will come to an end next month, sources have confirmed.

The final episode of the one-hour weekday show is scheduled to air on Tuesday, June 11th, marking the conclusion of NASCAR Race Hub’s 14-year run across the Speed Channel and FS1. Fox Sports employees were informed of the cancellation decision on Wednesday.

Launched on October 12, 2009 as the first show on what was then Speed, Race Hub originated as a way to deliver the latest NASCAR updates, interviews, analysis and more to fans on a daily basis during the racing season. Original hosts Adam Alexander and Krista Voda anchored that inaugural broadcast.

When Speed rebranded as Fox Sports 1 in 2013, Race Hub made the transition and continued its nightly NASCAR coverage, cycling through various hosts and analysts over the years. Recognizable names like Chad Knaus, Michael Waltrip, Jamie McMurray and David Ragan frequently appeared to provide expert commentary.

One of Race Hub’s most popular segments was “Radioactive,” which replayed highlights from the most recent race with audio from team radios and in-car communication.

The program hit a milestone in January by airing its 2,500th episode. But it could not survive the latest round of cutbacks at Fox Sports. The final episode will be June 11.

Race Hub’s cancellation leaves a void for dedicated daily NASCAR programming on FS1 outside of its live race broadcasts. The network is expected to continue racing coverage with its remaining studio shows

  1. That really sucks. I’m an avid fan of race hub and watch it daily to get all the updates about NASCAR, the cars, the teams and the drivers. Really sad to hear this news.

  2. Well, this is sad news! I have watched this show as long as I can remember. No matter what the show was called or what network it was on, I was watching. So, now what?? Where do we get our racing news, recaps, and interviews–WITHOUT having search for it?! Best wishes to the staff in the future. You will be missed.
