Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Join TNT Sports’ NASCAR Broadcast Team in 2025

TNT Sports announced today that NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be joining their broadcast team when the network returns to covering NASCAR Cup Series races in 2025. The two-time Daytona 500 champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer will serve as an on-air commentator for TNT’s exclusive coverage of five NASCAR Cup Series events each summer.

In addition to his commentary role, Earnhardt will contribute to a new Bleacher Report content series co-produced with his Dirty Mo Media company. The series will feature Earnhardt interviewing guests while driving them around each of the five TNT race tracks as a passenger.

“It is such an exciting time to welcome TNT Sports back to NASCAR,” said Earnhardt Jr. “I’m looking forward to joining their team and also getting the chance to work with Bleacher Report creating content that our fans will enjoy.”

TNT Sports previously aired NASCAR races from 1983 to 2006 and was instrumental in helping grow the sport’s popularity during that span. Their new seven-year multimedia rights deal with NASCAR begins in 2025.

“We could not be more excited for the return of NASCAR to TNT Sports next Summer, with Dale being a critical part of the overall vision and execution of our coverage,” said Craig Barry, EVP and Chief Content Officer at TNT Sports.

Earnhardt’s 26 career Cup wins and 15 consecutive seasons as NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver from 2003-2017 make him one of the most iconic figures in racing history. He will also contribute to Prime Video’s inaugural NASCAR broadcast next season.

The new TNT deal allows for enhanced streaming options on Max as well as content rights for Bleacher Report’s platforms. More details on TNT’s NASCAR coverage plans will be announced in the coming months.
