Several NASCAR Cup Series drivers head to Dover Motor Speedway this weekend still searching for their first win of the 2024 season. The high-banked, one-mile concrete oval known as the “Monster Mile” could provide the breakthrough they’ve been looking for.

Wurth 400 (2 p.m. ET on FS1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) Defending Dover race winner Martin Truex Jr. leads the list of winless drivers desperate for a victory. The New Jersey native considers Dover his home track, having earned his first career Cup win there in 2007. Truex has four total wins at the Monster Mile, more than any other full-time Cup driver. He’s had a strong but winless season so far, sitting second in points behind Kyle Larson.

Ford has yet to visit Victory Lane in 2024. Brad Keselowski, with a 2012 Dover win, is Ford’s only current Cup driver with a previous Monster Mile victory. Joey Logano has four Xfinity Series wins at Dover. Ryan Blaney won an Xfinity race there in 2017 as well.

Kyle Busch and the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing team are also still chasing that elusive first checkered flag of 2024. Busch, a three-time Dover winner, always runs up front at the Monster Mile.

Practice will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by Busch Light Qualifying at 11:20 a.m. ET. – both televised live on FS1.

BetRivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway (1:30 p.m. ET on FS1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio In the Xfinity Series race on Saturday, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Ryan Truex returns as the defending winner. Reigning Xfinity champion Cole Custer and Justin Allgaier also have prior Dover victories in NASCAR’s top preliminary division.

Qualifying runs for both races will be critical, as track position is crucial at the track they call the “Monster.” Will someone break through for their first win of 2024 on the challenging Dover concrete? Or will defending winner Ryan Truex go back-to-back? Fans will find out this weekend in Delaware.

This week marks the final leg of the four-race Dash 4 Cash incentive. Jesse Love, Riley Herbst, Anthony Alfredo and Ryan Sieg will compete for that last $100,000 check from Xfinity – the highest finisher among them on Saturday claiming the money. Sieg won the bonus last week in Talladega in what ultimately turned into a dramatic and exciting late race two-car duel between him and A.J. Allmendinger.

A 20-minute practice followed by a qualifying session begins at 3:05 p.m. on Friday and will be televised on FS1.
