NASCAR superstar Kyle Busch is pulling out all the stops for his next short track challenge. Officials from the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and Oxford Plains Speedway announced today that the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion is entering the inaugural All That’s Metal Celebration of America 300 on July 2-3. The race carries a massive $40,000 prize to the winner.
“A few of us have been working on getting Kyle entered for a couple months. He loves racing at Oxford and we finally got all the parties aligned to make it happen,” said former NASCAR team owner Archie St. Hilaire, who helped orchestrate the collaboration.
The entry is a joint effort between Busch, St. Hilaire’s Go Fas Racing, Peter Petit of Petit Motorsports, Busch’s spotter Derek Kneeland, and the Cushman Competition team which will field the car. Primary sponsorship comes from Keen Parts and Weirs Buick GMC through its Fischer Snow Plow brand.
“Keen Parts and others involved really like supporting big short track events like this and bringing in marquee drivers like Kyle,” explained St. Hilaire. “With everyone pitching in, we could make this work.”
“Rowdy”, has 231 wins across NASCAR’s top three national touring series, including 63 in the Cup Series. While he races full-time in Cup, the 38-year-old relishes opportunities to compete in high-profile short track races like the All That’s Metal 300.
He’s already a two-time Oxford Plains winner, sweeping the PASS 150 and Oxford 250 in 2011. For this event, Busch will drive the Cushman Competition car previously driven to three 2023 wins at Oxford by Austin Teras. It will carry his trademark #51.
“We’re absolutely thrilled Kyle wants to be part of our first 300,” said PASS President and Oxford owner Tom Mayberry. “A lot of effort went into making this happen and it’ll be awesome for fans and competitors.”
Busch is known for being extremely hands-on with his short track cars, often wrenching on them himself between stints on the track in pursuit of victories. The Las Vegas native will surely be gunning for the $40,000 top prize, which could swell higher.
With one of NASCAR’s elite drivers now officially entered, the inaugural All That’s Metal 300 is shaping up to be a must-see short track extravaganza this summer at Oxford Plains Speedway.
