This weekend, the high banks of Talladega Superspeedway will play host to two can’t-miss NASCAR races full of uncertainty and unpredictability. The GEICO 500 for the Cup Series and the Ag-Pro 300 for the Xfinity Series always produce drama and mayhem as drivers fight to survive the intense pack racing.

Cup Series:
In the Cup Series race on Sunday (3 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), championship contenders like Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr. are still seeking their first career Talladega win. With seven different winners in the last seven Talladega races, the door is open for a new face in victory lane. Former Talladega winners like Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, and Brad Keselowski are hungry to return to their winning ways at the 2.66-mile oval. Qualifying is set for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET (on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
My Pick: Kyle Busch

Xfinity Series:
The Xfinity Series race on Saturday (4 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) provides even more uncertainty, with only A.J. Allmendinger and Jeb Burton entering as past Talladega winners among the 2024 championship contenders. Points leaders like Chandler Smith and Cole Custer have struggled at Talladega in the past, opening the door for a surprise winner to emerge. Qualifying is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET on Friday (FS1).
My Pick: Jesse Love

With no practice sessions and intense pack racing at over 200 mph, simply surviving will be an accomplishment for many drivers. But for the bold and the brave, Talladega offers a chance at immortality with a coveted victory. Buckle up and get ready for two wildunpredictable NASCAR races at the iconic Talladega Superspeedway!
