Lucas Oil has deepened its partnership with Richard Childress Racing and ECR Engines by increasing its sponsorship of Kyle Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet for multiple races during the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.
The familiar blue and white Lucas Oil colors will adorn Busch’s car for the first time this year at Martinsville Speedway on April 8th, kicking off a multi-race stint as the two-time champion’s primary sponsor.
“After reaching victory lane with Kyle’s No. 8 Chevrolet in 2023, we are very excited to announce that we’ve expanded our primary sponsorship to include multiple races in 2024 at some of NASCAR’s most legendary tracks,” said Brandon Bernstein, director of partnership marketing for Lucas Oil.
Lucas Oil has been the official lubricant partner of Richard Childress Racing and its ECR Engines division since 2014. During that span, the two companies have combined for 133 race wins through 2023, with four more victories already this season.
“Over the past 10 years, Lucas Oil has been an amazing partner to RCR and ECR Engines and we are thrilled to have them back as the primary sponsor of the No. 8 Chevrolet,” said Torrey Galida, RCR president. “The technical support they provide has resulted in numerous victories.”
The expanded sponsorship extends Lucas Oil’s presence in the Busch family racing efforts. In addition to the Cup races, Lucas Oil is the official motor oil for Kyle and son Brexton’s racing activities, including Kyle’s micro sprint car program and Brexton’s developmental series.
Engineers from Lucas Oil have worked hand-in-hand with RCR/ECR, testing lubricants in simulators and real-world conditions to optimize blend performance and unlock every competitive advantage.
With his new sponsorship in tow, Busch will look to add to his 63 career Cup wins and capture his third championship in 2024.
