NASCAR Tripleheader at COTA This Weekend

The NASCAR circus is headed to Austin, Texas this weekend for a tripleheader of racing action at the prestigious Circuit of The Americas (COTA) road course. All three of NASCAR’s national series – the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series – will take on the 3.41-mile, 20-turn track.

The NASCAR Cup Series kicks things off with the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix on Sunday, March 24th at 3:30pm ET on FOX. It will be the fourth Cup race held at COTA since 2021, with Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain, and Tyler Reddick taking the previous three victories. Reddick, Chastain, and Elliott are among 15 previous Cup Series road course winners entered this weekend looking to tame the challenging COTA layout.

Before the Cup race, the Xfinity Series takes center stage with the Focused Health 250 on Saturday at 5pm ET on FS1. A.J. Allmendinger has won the last two Xfinity races at COTA and will be looking for the three-peat. But rising star Sam Mayer has emerged as a road course ace as well after winning three times on roads last season.

The weekend opens up Saturday afternoon with the XPEL 225 for the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at 1:30pm ET on FS1. Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 Ford has won all three previous Truck races at COTA with Todd Gilliland (2021) and Zane Smith (2022, 2023) behind the wheel. Rookie Layne Riggs gets a shot to keep the streak alive this year.

With COTA being one of the premier road courses in North America, the NASCAR weekend in Austin is sure to provide plenty of intense, door-to-door action across all three series. Fasten your seatbelts!
