BJ McLeod Motorsports Going Part-Time in Xfinity Series to Enhance Performance

BJ McLeod Motorsports (BJMM), a prominent competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, has announced it will transition to a part-time racing schedule for the remainder of the 2024 season. This strategic move reflects the team’s commitment to enhancing their on-track performance and overall competitiveness in the demanding world of motorsports.

Over the years, BJMM has established itself as a respected force in the Xfinity Series garage through its dedication and hard work. While the team has had a solid start to 2024 with two top-15 and one top-20 finish in the first four races, the decision to go part-time signifies a bold step towards optimizing resources and focusing on key performance improvement initiatives.

“Although we’ve had a great start to the 2024 season, we’re committed to building a top-15 contending team week in and week out,” said driver and co-owner B.J. McLeod. “Right now, we feel a part-time schedule will allow us the extra time we need to build up our infrastructure to be able to compete at that level for our remaining races in 2024 and beyond.”

The move comes after a thorough evaluation and strategic planning process by BJMM’s leadership team. By reducing their number of races, the team intends to concentrate efforts on research, development, optimization of race car performance, driver training, and meticulous strategic planning.

McLeod expressed optimism about these changes and the goal of returning to full-time Xfinity Series competition in 2025 as a perennial top-15 contender.

Throughout this transition, BJMM extends its gratitude to fans, sponsors, and partners for their steadfast support. The team remains committed to fostering strong relationships and delivering thrilling racing experiences both on and off the track as it works towards achieving its long-term vision of success.
