William Sawalich emerged victorious in the rain-shortened General Tire 150 ARCA Menards Series race at Phoenix Raceway. The 17-year-old driver led 66 of the 115 completed laps before lightning and persistent rain halted the event prematurely.
Gio Ruggiero gave Sawalich a stern challenge, leading 49 laps himself before having to settle for second place when the inclement weather refused to relent. Grant Enfinger, Connor Mosack, and Sean Hingorani rounded out the top five finishers.
A notable performance came from Isabella Robusto, who brought home a respectable sixth-place finish in her ARCA Series debut. The teenager showed impressive pace and composure in her first national series start.
With the race being called early, several drivers like Jake Wood, Andres Perez, and Toni Breidinger picked up solid top-ten results as well despite not having a chance to full race distance.
Next up for the ARCA Menards Series is the General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 20, at 12:30 PM EST. Catch the action on FS1.
